Visual Memory & Recall in Sports-Related Concussion

Jeffrey R. Bennett, O.D., Mayo Clinic Department of Ophthalmology discusses research involving the incidence of concussions suffered by football players. The estimates vary depending on whether the players are in high school, college or the NFL. There are concerns about under-reporting of concussions. Using a Tachistoscope created with a iPad app, researchers devised a test to identify concussed players by testing memory and recall of plays.
