Randal Thomas, MD
Randal J. Thomas, M.D., M.S., is a board-certified internal medicine specialist with fellowship training in preventive cardiology. He attended the George Washington University School of Medicine and obtained internal medicine training at the Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia, where he also served as a chief resident for one year. He underwent fellowship training in preventive cardiology as a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at Stanford University. Prior to joining Mayo Clinic in 1999, Dr. Thomas was a faculty member of the Department of Preventive Medicine and the Department of Medicine (Cardiology) at the Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois from 1992-1996, and was a faculty member of the Department of Medicine at the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, South Carolina from 1996-1999.
