Center volume and hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia

Vivek N. Iyer, M.D., with Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, discusses a study of patients with the rare disease hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia.

Study outcomes confirm that patients with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia who were hospitalized at high-volume treatment centers had better outcomes, with lower in-hospital mortality and higher home discharge rates.
